Prayer Times by City

About SalahAlert

SalahAlert covers prayer times for over 300 US cities. Calculations use the ISNA method (Islamic Society of North America), which most mosques and Islamic centers in North America follow.

The five daily prayers, Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, shift by a few minutes each day as the sun's position changes. Times are calculated from your city's exact coordinates, not a regional average.

No app, no account. Look up any city and you're done. Times update automatically each morning.

FAQ

How are prayer times calculated?

Prayer times are based on the sun's position relative to your city. We use the ISNA method (Islamic Society of North America), which most mosques in North America follow.

How accurate are the prayer times?

Within a minute or two of what your local mosque posts. We use the same calculation method as most major Islamic apps and organizations.

What calculation method do you use?

The ISNA method. Fajr and Isha angles are both 15 degrees. Asr is calculated using the Hanafi madhab.

Do prayer times change daily?

Yes, by a minute or two each day as the sun's angle shifts through the year. Summer means earlier Fajr and later Isha; in winter it flips.

Can I use SalahAlert while traveling?

Yes. Find the city closest to where you are and use those times. Prayer times come from geographic coordinates, so any nearby city will be accurate.

Is SalahAlert free?

Yes. No registration, no downloads, no subscriptions.
