What we collect
SalahAlert does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the service. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any identifying data from visitors.
If you use the "Use my location" feature, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service for reverse geocoding (city name lookup). This is a browser-side request; SalahAlert's servers do not receive or store your coordinates. See Nominatim's API documentation for their data handling.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, general geographic region, device type). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sessions. No data is sold to third parties.
Cookies and local storage
SalahAlert stores your selected theme (light/dark) in localStorage. No cookies are set by SalahAlert. Some third-party services embedded on the site (fonts, analytics) may set their own cookies per their respective policies.
Data retention
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to delete. Theme preferences stored in localStorage exist only in your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
